Total knee replacement

Total knee replacement (code W4210) is one of the most successful elective surgeries currently performed. However, an artificial joint will never be as good as the healthy knee.

The components covering the joint resemble a metal surface replacement. The bearing is a polyethylene liner. We often use computer-assisted navigation systems to better align the implant. We have chosen what we feel is a safe and less invasive approach to joint replacement surgery. Less invasive surgery includes soft tissue and bone sparing techniques.
We use cemented and un-cemented knee implants. Un-cemented implants allow the bone to grow into the surface of the components.
